The residents of Ayot St Peter are very fortunate to have access to a well-kept tennis court on Ayot Green. This was built in 1981 with the compensation money paid when the old Reading Room was demolished to make way for the A1(M) motorway.
The tennis court is run by the Ayot St. Peter Recreation Ground Charity and is for the use only of residents of the parish of Ayot St Peter who have paid their subscriptions and of their immediate family and accompanied non-paying guests.
An annual fee is charged for each household wishing to join – the current fee is £100, and is renewable in April each year.
